getgeeked Media and CE Week look to build on last year's partnership
Building on last years' partnership, CE Week and getgeeked New York create a carefully curated two-day program to offer companies a unique chance to showcase their products to all the audiences they need to engage to be successful today at one event.

NEW YORK, May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second consecutive year, CE Week, the tech industry's most important mid-year B2B event and getgeeked New York, the event that has reinvented the traditional tech industry media event, are joining forces to offer companies access to a unique combination of audiences not found at any other tech industry event.

In addition to bringing over 1500 passionate, early-adopter tech enthusiasts to the show on the first night, this year getgeeked Media is developing an Influencers Program that will deliver highly sought after influencers such as mommy and lifestyle bloggers, YouTubers, social media influencers, and more from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the first day of the two-day event.

"Our specialty is the geeks – the authentic, tech-loving consumers that are reviewing, recommending, and sharing real opinions about tech products every day. But over the last several years, we've seen the growth of communities of influencers with the ability to create broader awareness of companies' products and we felt it was critical to find ways to deliver this audience to our exhibitors too," said Barry Myers, Founder and President, getgeeked Media.

CE Week 2017 featuring getgeeked New York kicks off with its annual opening night party at B&H Photo Video on the night of July 11th. The exhibits at the Metropolitan Pavilion open to the press at noon on July 12th, followed by the Influencer Program at 3:00 PM. From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the show opens its doors to members of the getgeeked community, giving companies a chance to turn these passionate consumers into their most important advocates heading into the second half of the year.

On day 2, CE Week's traditional B2B audience, featuring retailers, distributors, channel partners and more are invited to attend along with members of the press. In addition to the show floor, Day 2 features the annual CE Week Conference designed by Dealerscope, the industry's leading technology retailing publication. Once again this year, the CE Week Conference will give executives from the tech industry's biggest brands and hottest startups an opportunity to address the hottest issues facing the consumer technology industry.

"The key thing about this years' event is how curated the schedule is. Delivering all these different audiences is only effective for companies if they know who they'll be talking to in advance so they can craft their messaging and communicate effectively with each audience," added Myers.

"getgeeked is a tremendous partner. They gave the event a real interjection of energy last year. Barry has a keen understanding of the challenges companies are facing today and he's a visionary when it comes to designing programs that leverage face-to-face interactions to help companies meet these challenges," said Eric Schwartz, Managing Director/Executive Producer, CE Week – Napco Media.
